Who is a MAN?

A Man is always considered as someone who is emotionless, tough, strong, and an independent person who should never ask for help or support whether it’s financial or emotional. So stereotypically, a MAN is nothing but a ROBOT without emotions, without feelings and without a Heart. I don’t know about other countries but in India, Men don’t cry. No No, actaully, men don’t cry in front of others, whether it’s his friends or family. He is never allowed to cry when he is hurt. Why? Is crying a sign of a weak person? Or it makes a man a girl? RUBBISH! Crying is as important as laughing and we all should understand that anger, happiness, sorrow, irritation, grief, these are all emotions that comes naturally. If a boy wants to cry then he can, there is nothing wrong with that. Because of these stereotypes, a large number of males faces mental health issues, anger issues, depression, anxiety and much more. And the saddest part is no one literally take it into concern. You don’t believe me? Go and search about the posters or anything about the mental health of a man. You will not find anything but about WOMEN. Ever encountered a man who is being sexually assaulted? No? Why? Because they don’t tell you about that. Why do they do so? Because they have a fear! Fear of being judged by you and the society! What will others think? A boy is being assaulted by a girl???? Haha what a shame! He deserves no respect, no sympathy and no support. This is what he encounters after telling the truth. #metoo was for girls who were facing this right? This one is for you guys #mentoo

Don’t listen to them my friend. You deserve respect and care. Not just physical health care but also mental health care. A man is not someone who is emotionless, but he is the one who can feel every damn emotion and feeling. You too can cry! You too can feel low at times. There is no need to be tough all the time. You can cook food, you can sew clothes, you can help your mother in household work. You can do anything. Don’t let these stereotypical people ruin your interest and future. You are the BEST. And i am with you. I will make them understand how you should be treated. Don’t worry, we are together! 🙂

Great work. I remember asking people, mainly guys that “what is the definition of man?” and ironically mot of them defined themselves as a human with XY chromosomes or something. Another set of answer was rough, tough and responsible person and some refused to answer. Well, my answer is man and woman are similar except the biological difference there should be no difference or stereotypes.

Much needed article.. Man are just humans like other gender.. Man are & were considered something strong in history.. & they still are bt the inner traits as of mind is almost a normal gender neutral human.. This is the fact we need to adapt.. Time changed people change…So wonderful article

Amazing work! Such an important topic , so true in a country like ours we have imposed so many of our stereotypical beliefs on others that they can’t even live in peace . Men and women equally have to constantly live according to the society’s regressive rules . Very nicely written article. Thank you !

A very engaging article. Good topic. Just a suggestion that there is a spelling error and no sentence begins with ‘Because’. The structure could be better. I am just saying for your betterment. Thank you for encouraging us through your article. Keep writing.

Keep up with the good work. The topic which you have taken was much needed to be written upon. The rules set by the society regarding the roles which need to be fulfilled by both the genders have provided with extra pressure to work within specific boundaries. Best of Luck!!

Good work ! The article was conveyed in a simpler way and easy to understand . Men’s are considered as someone who is rough and tough and can overcome any obstacles , but they are also human and have feelings and emotions . It is must to know about Men’s mental health and negative effects . Can elaborate more on stigmas and ways to how men can overcome this stigma and can express well and elaborate on their mental health state .
Keep up with the good work !!
