A body should be both physically and mentally fine to be a healthy person.

Mental illness is not just a feeling, it what a person goes to. If it is not taken into consideration it leads to getting worse than the present situation. Mental illness itself is not beautiful, it is debilitating.

Mental health

A state of physical mental, social and spiritual well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

According to WHO defines mental health as mental well being in which an individual realized his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life can work productively, and is able to make contributions to the community.

Importance of mental health

To stay motivated

Mental health is really necessary as we need to stay motivated to complete the task. A good mental condition can only help to provide a new task and its completion. If you are in that condition the motivated level automatically comes down and the ideas will not be fruitful will be innovative to complete the tasks.

To make sound decisions

When your mental health is not good you end up not making good decisions in your life and then revert them later and be more stressed. This becomes a vicious cycle in your life which leads to more serious issues and regrets.

Mental health is important for good life decisions as they can give your future and success rate.

To know about various mental health disorder

As serious mention illness leads to mental disorders that affect a person’s behavior like eating sensibly, regularly exercise adequate sleep, engaging in safe sexual practice, alcohol and tobacco use, adhering to medical therapies thus increasing the risk of physical illness. If you know about these . if you know about the mental illness you can helo others to come and you can. Understand how once feel.

To stay away from the different tranquilizer

As you may know that many stressed people have a habit of taking substance abuse. When of taking substance abuse. When you able to recognize that the mental health, and can work on oneself and can take proper therapy to avoid the intake of substance abuse.

For better immune systems

If you diagnosed with mental disorders then it also affects your immune system. It makes your health mote weak and you are more prone to get in the catch of dangerous disease.

Romanticize Mental illness

The sanitizing to the mental illness lead to thinking to normalize says people and people think that they are showing. So, people who romanticize mental illness are worse because they don’t know what actually illness feels they just to be.

 

Reasons Romanticize mental illness

Actors and stars

One of the main reason to romanticizing are actors and stars fashion related to for eg- you see t-shirts twitter depression or anxiety by this people thinks they just doing to be cool or to be popular. By this real people who face are not being accepted saying you are just being cool etc.

Media and social media

A character whose mental illness is shown frequently portrayed as being dangerous and violent.sometimes, they are even played off as punch line with the mental health professionals like psychiatrist taking on the role of villain.

TV series like 13 Kamali reasons why

As the main character of the show kills herself in an act of frame revenge against the classmate who caused her to suffer. This is a terrible misrepresentation suicide which in real life is rarely planned methodically.

Creation of mental health stigma

The stigma led to an effect on people and creating them to not to admit about their disease. which lead to major hell destruction and ending their life.

 

Effects of romanticizing mental illness

Hiding emotions

People started feeling no one will understand and they think that they are showing off. they do not accept that they have difficulty in feeling these emotions. Emotion’s and R and scared so much to go to a therapist and take the therapy especially this happens to young teens and those who are new to adulting

Stereotyping of teenagers

Do you do these actions or these people effect more on teenagers as people think that they are just showing off and playing the victim cards? Especially their parent’s thing and which leads to more trust issues and affects them in a bad way.

They’ rere playing sympathy cards

many people accused, people that they just want attention and not really are feeling that way. Many people do not acknowledge and stay away from these people and saying that they can harm us as they are playing the victim card having mental depression.

Making a particular stereotype

It is very common as hero types are made very easy. many people say to other people that have a mental illness that it is a face and well go off. People tend to think that they are showing off and are on the train that’s why they are doing brother that not understanding that they are feeling this way and it is not a show-off people. People also think that they want to be in attendance.

Woman stereotyping

It is very common to serotype women in any case many of them do that in a way of fun also. Mental illness due to typing for women is very common as the thing just avoiding the household work and don’t want to do anything and just want to have fun and play the victim card because they are women. people also think that they are avoiding just to have fun.

 

How can it be stopped?

Spreading awareness

. The main method is to start educating people about mental illness. show that there is a generation of empathy in them.they can support their children or anyone close who is suffering from the illness. Spreading awareness can help these people to realize that anyone does not deliberately feel that and it is not controlled by them and there is a struggle involved in that f in daily basis also.

Following guideline

There are many Associations related to psychology that have led various guidelines for people helping for mental illness. These organizations or the American foundations of suicide prevention or the American Psychological Association and many more. these guidelines will help others not only to stop romanticizing and be able to understand the real thing.

Proper storytelling

When people tell stories rather than stating the fact of the problem there is concern about this people often let to show off the stories and blood the major harmful part they only show the positive sides and the beautiful sign rather than the negative and harmful side this is bad in case of mental health. as people will not able to understand what the people feel and will see the positive side they will only thing that it is only possible is no struggle.

Showing off the correct version of struggle in TV shows

There should be a correct way to present various TV shows that should know about the mental illness as many as shows affect the major 70% of the population. If people saw what then only they will imply this in real life.

For example shows like Bo-Jo Jackman horseman, This Is Us and the magicians, etc.

Conclusion

At last, I just want to say that having a mental illness it’s OK but not having and using it for sympathy or victim card is not okay because you do not know what a person is going through and you may create a false image about it and the people will be shy about confronting that thing also so please think.

I agree with most of your points. And I agree how media is portraying this now a days and I feel bad about it. But a person who is playing victim card is also going through the something or the other or maybe the way he/she acting might have a reason not particularly a disorder but a deep suppression of feelings or emotions. I hope I was able to put my point through.
