How Health and Coffee Linked

I’m one of the coffeeholic who can’t start a day without a jolt of caffeine and my mother always wonder why I love coffee so much? And I’m like, how can I not love coffee when it tastes sweet as a pleasing, pure, iced black devil with the lively aroma of fresh-made coffee. This love for coffee has grown more than anything else as it’s not just a beverage to me. Now, grab a cup of coffee and read.

New research has confirmed that coffee is related to longer life. Coffee, the most famous drink in the world which makes us feel more attentive, awake but remember, too much consumption of caffeine can also backfire.

After you drink a cup of coffee, Let’s find out what happens in your body.

Caffeine: most psychoactive drug

You must be aware of the fact that caffeine is a drug or you can say most proactive drug in the world which can change the way you feel and communicate with the world around you. A Hypothesis was proposed by Charles Czeisler, a Harvard neuroscientist that caffeine unites with electricity make changes in the natural pattern of sleep and wakefulness.

How Mental performance gets better?

The caffeine is a mild stimulating drug to your central nervous system. Many types of research has proved that a person’s mental performance such as alertness, focus and attention depends on the amount of caffeine consumed by the person which can improve wakefulness, especially when he suffered from sleepless nights.

For a study, data of people under 40 were collected. The study confirmed that caffeine can be effective for better performance in people who suffer from jet lag. Another research revealed that caffeine can improve memory performance, especially when the person gets bored. Also, a higher amount of consumption can reduce performance.

In both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, polyphenols occur innately which can act as antioxidants to relieve some stress and in few people, it may act as antidepressant also, increase alertness, a person becomes more attentive, his anxiety level reduces and improve his mood. If a person has less than 6 cups of coffee then he is more likely to have lower chances of depression and less suicidal thoughts. But it’s different in sensitive people, consuming too much of caffeine can increase restlessness, sleep deprivation and anxiety. And if you leave coffee all of a sudden then it can lead to a bad mood, headache, fatigue, it may continue for days or a week..

How Health and coffee are linked?

Few types of research have postulated that caffeine can increases the heart rate as it affects hormones and neurotransmitters. Having coffee in a limit like one to three cups per day, won’t impact the person as much as overconsumption of caffeine can do. Mayo Clinic proved some regular caffeinators can have a slightly higher B.P.

How it affects your sleep?

Coffee can affect your sleep patterns as the amount of your caffeine consumption, sleep quality and your nap time, all are associated with each other. Every individual may have a different level of sensitivity. However, if you started having coffee during the day or late in the day can enhance your sleep patterns. And if you are regular then it’s less effective than in the people who consume on an occasional basis.

How dependent you are?

Coffee doesn’t induce resilience, as it has been proven confirmed scientifically and by WHO. As people say too much consumption can become an addiction. But WHO has evidently proven that having coffee on regular basis can’t be considered as an addiction.
