Anorxiea :- It is an eating disorder which causes people to obsess about weight. It is a condition in which a child refuses to eat food as he/she may think that they are becoming fat. Children’s with anorxiea has distorted body image
Symptoms of Anorxiea :-
Mensuration may stop or can be infrequently occuring
Skipping meals
Trying to adopt a eating schedule
Insomnia, low blood pressure, dry skin, tooth decay may also occur
Yellowing of skin, hypothermia and feeling cold when others are hot
Treatment for Anorxiea :-
Although treatment is not actually possible for Anorxiea but if recognized ; helpful to begin treatment as soon as possible.
CBT :- In CBT, family therapy is most useful for children. In family therapy you can have the therapy sessions with your family. Your therapist will try to understand your feelings and help you with your difficulty of Unhealthy eating habits.
Bulimia Nervosa :- A eating disorder which is marked by bingeing, followed by methods to avoid gain weight. People with Bulimia secretly binge, eat large amount of food with a loss of control over eating and then they try to get rid of extra calories.
Symptoms of Bulimia Nervosa :-
You may have negative thoughts about your body shape and weight
Spending a lot of time in bathroom, especially with water running to cover the sound of vomiting
Tooth decay and sore throat due to vomiting
Feeling cold most of the time, tired and weak
Behaving moody, believing self worth is tied to weight
Treatment for Bulimia Nervosa :-
Behavioral and cognitive therapy can be helpful :-
Changing the mindset of individual about body weight, food and eating is most important.
Try to understand the reason of their disorder and which feelings and behaviour are contributing to it.
Nutritional counseling can also be helpful :-
Avoiding Caffeine, Alcohol, and tobacco
Massage to reduce stress
You can try and see herbs, such as holy basil
You can try different Exercises and Yoga
