Revenge Seeking Attitude
Revenge seems to be a human trait unless you are a very devoted human! I believe we all have some urge for some kind of revenge somewhere hidden in us. Some of us feel it is wrong, some believe it is the only way to let them stand out. A misconception to be driven away is; punishment is for the betterment but revenge comes with the idea of destroying someone.
It starts with the fantasy, where we think of peculiar ways revenge is possible. But it takes a turns when it starts affecting our overall behaviour.
For some, revenge taking attitude comes with the fact that someone insulted them in front of their friends or underestimated them. Some simply believe in ‘An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’. It depends on the person onto what level it has affected them, and where their imagination can go.
Alright, I’ll take an example, a mere example we all must have experienced in school days, remember when someone in the class hit us, what was your reaction? For me, I would just feel a rush inside of me to revert what they did.
According to me, revenge is an intense feeling, which has its own levels depending upon our perception and as I said before, the extent of our imagination.
Most of the humans tend to go for atrocious revenge without thinking any further about its consequences.
Even if we comprehend from our history, we could see how kings used to take revenge. Murdering was a way of seeking revenge for them, finding a person, grabbing them, and then killing them was revenge.
Even today we decide to destroy something dearest to the person we are seeking revenge from.
But from my personal experience, I can say, maybe we can harness this strong emotion into something useful; try using this rush inside of you for your betterment, to help you move a little more forward towards your goal.
I’m not really writing about the psychology given for this because I’m still a student learning about it and figuring it out!
Hope you found this engaging.
Thank you:-)
