Physical health takes a toll on mental health as well

Mental health matters the most just like physical health. Our society tends to ignore the conditions of mental health even if their child is suffering from some problems related to mental health, they just tries to ignore. We all feel uncomfortable to state it out in public about our disease which is related to mental health as we think we might get judged by society. We pay a lot of attention to our physical health, the same attention one should give to mental health as well. Sometimes, physical health can take a toll on our mental state and we must keep that in mind. To not get our mindset affected, we must keep a check on our physical health. In this busy world, we kind of try to ignore our health. All we try to care about is our work and because of work sometimes, our routine gets disturbed and leads to poor condition of our health. Our health starts getting deteriorate with each passing day and that ultimately can have an impact on our mental state as well. Sometimes, today’s generation ends up being depressed, have panic attacks as well as suffers from anxiety due to office work. They are pressurized and this burden does not let them to live a peaceful life. Remember “A healthy mind is necessary as that of a healthy body”.

Most of the studies have found that deterioration of physical health can cause mental illness. Research shows that spinal disorders is linked to mental health. Some spinal diseases takes a toll on mental health as well. Most of the spinal disorders cause depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation and many more.

We need to understand the fact that we must keep our health well in order to avoid these types of disorders. There are so many types of spinal disorders and the risk of it affecting mental health is higher. Not all of spinal diseases affects but some of them on a higher level. Like chronic spine, intervertebral disc disease, spinal deformities, etc.

Spinal disorders like back pain, chronic spine, neck pain, spinal tumours, spinal deformities and many more cause depression and anxiety. Because of back pain , there is a high chance that we may develop mental illness. Spine pain is common nowadays but one should not take it lightly as it can cause sleep deprivation because of pain and eventually it will end up having an impact on your mental health. Back pain mostly cause depression, anxiety, psychosis as well as sleep disturbances. It is also found that higher the neck pain is , higher is the chances of developing mental illness. The degenerative spine disease such as arthritis specially rheumatoid arthritis causes mental illness like depression, anxiety. Lower back pain cause negative impact on mental state sometimes. There are many more spine diseases which cause mental illness.

On the other hand, it is also found that mental illness also sometimes cause spine diseases. One of them is depression, it develops back pain and neck pain as depression have symptoms as one of the symptom is backaches. Mental illness also causes lower back pain. People with severe depression suffers the most from back pain.

So overall Physical health and mental health are linked to each other and there are so many spinal disorders which are linked to mental illness. All we need to do is to take care of our health , not to ignore any pain and to do body check up on a regular basis.
