To the shooting star
This one’s for you my love I still remember as a child I used to look out for you every time just so that you might fulfil my wishes but now as I lie down on this bed of grass with the sky full of stars (complete stars) chattering about their crushes and shining even more while blushing to talk to their boyfriends and the moon being the centre of attraction loved by everyone, I look out for you my shooting star it’s now that I realize in my 20’s that what broken feels like, what being rejected by your loved ones feels like, I never empathized with you then for me you were my only hope to get my wishes fulfilled but isn’t that ironic my love to be broken but to be still people’s first and last hope for being one where the loneliest and broken people come to you to get their wishes fulfilled unaware of the fact that you my friend are also broken.
You know they say broken is beautiful its today that I realized broken is actually beautiful just by looking at you…………………..
