We have been taught to think positive. Being optimistic in life really helps as it totally changes our attitude. Our outlook to certain things gets changed. Positive attitude should be their same as that of positive thinking. We should not allow negative thoughts to get into our mind as it leaves a bad impact on us and sometimes causes mental illness. Negative thoughts makes us sleep deprived and we end up being in depression. ‘Why do we get negative thoughts?’. The answer may be past, failures, injuries, personal problems, education problems, breakup, etc. Sometimes, we let our past to affect us and ‘Past ruins everything’. Positive people have healthy mind and they live their life with happiness. After seeing, we sometimes wonder why cannot we have that kind of life and the reason must be out thinking, it must be how our outlook is towards our life. We care a lot about future and also remember our past in between and that is why we do not live life happily. We let negative thoughts to affect us. Once negative thoughts starts popping up then it always feels like negativity around us. Everything seems negative to us.
Depression can be caused by many and one of them is pessimistic thinking. Some of us thinks like pessimistic. Those who thinks pessimistic always feels negative about their life. Pessimistic thinking always leads to think in a negative way. An individual in pessimistic thinking always finds the outcome of any situation would be bad. People thinks positive things will not happen. Whatever happens , the end result will not be in their favour. Pessimistic people thinks that this is the common occurrence of any situation and that they should not expect anything from it.
Some of the examples of pessimistic thinking like if an individual has given interviews, he will develop this feeling in his mind that interviewer will reject him or his selection will not happen even if the interview has gone well. The another example, if a glass contains half water, pessimistic always see it as a glass half empty while optimistic sees it as a glass half full. The another example would be of exam, the pessimistic always thinks that the marks would turn out to be low or he/she might get fail even if the paper has gone well. So the above examples shows us that how people thinks pessimistically.
Pessimistic thinking leads to depression. If a person thinks pessimistically, his mental health starts getting deteriorates slowly and his downfall of mental health will start and the person will eventually become depressed. Pessimistic thinking leads to sleep deprivation and other mental illness as well.
Pessimistic thinkers always thinks like there is no hope left for them and some of them believes in hope and because of this they loose confidence as well and sometimes they do not give their 100 percent as they see the result would be bad. This thinking of people takes them to a path of depression.
How can we cure pessimistic thinking?
A lot of ways are there to get rid of pessimistic thinking. Being one of them would definitely be
Yoga –
Yoga helps an individual mentally as well as physically. It helps us to think optimistic and refreshes our mind everytime. It keeps us fit and being fit is necessary in today’s life as bad health takes a toll on mental state.
Optimism –
Try to bring optimism in everything. Look at the positive side of each and every thing. Spend more time with your family and friends.
Travel –
Traveling helps us an individual in every possible way. It nurtures and enriches and helps us to take life decisions, to be optimistic in life. Traveling makes us positive and to lookout at each thing in a good manner.The refreshment we get from traveling makes us to live life happily. Traveling charges us and to give our best in everything without worrying about the outcome.
Therapy –
Therapy sessions improves an individual’s mental state. Makes that person positive about his/her life. It helps to enhance us in a better way and changes our attitude towards life in a positive manner.
Many ways are there through which we can get away from pessimistic thinking which for not paying attention results in depression. The key here to understand is that is not ignore this. Most of the people do not take this seriously but as it leads to depression. We should live our life happily and for that we should pay attention to our physical as well as mental state and should live our life carefree without worrying about anything. The more we live our life happily, the more we enthusiastic about our everything.
