As Indians, we only know six recognized medical systems, They are -Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Yoga, Naturopathy, and Homeopathy. Did you know there is another medical system that is new to Indians but its history takes us back to the 19th century? Yes, you heard it right Electrohomoeopathy or Electropathy is that system. Cesare Matti came up with the idea of electro homeopathy. He studied natural science, autonomy, physic, pathology, chemistry, botany. He eventually focused on the assumed medicinal power of ‘electricity in the botanical extract.

He also made audacious, groundless claims efficiency of the efficiency of the treatments, as well as the claim that his treatment offered a nonsurgical option to cancer. Because of his noticeable work, he is known as the father of electro homeopathy. The literal meaning of the term Electro homeopathy is derived from homeopathy. the name is driven by two words ‘the electro’(referring to an electric bio-energy content supposedly extracted from plants and of therapeutic value) and homeopathy(referring to an alternative medicinal philosophy developed by Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th century).

Processes by which the medication is obtained:

medicine is extracted from the active micro-nutrients or mineral salts of specific plants.
they take the distinct herbs and, they administrate the preparation of concoction is followed as the homeopathy says
After the process, the droplets and the liquid gain instinct with a potent, vital, electrical force, which enables them to work wonders.
Then happens a process called “fixing the electrical principle”, this is where The “red electricity” and “white electricity” are supposed to be fixed to the “vegetable compounds”.

Causes and treatment for the diseases:

According to Matti the causes of diseases are changes in blood or lymphatic system or both.
The ailments for these can be broadly classified into two which are used in the dominant affected system.
He says along with his theory and therapy he also used elements of Chinese medicine, of medical humor, of apparent Brownian’s, as well as modified versions of Samuel Hahnemann’s homeopathic principles.

Note: Electrohomoeopathy has some associations with Spagyric medicine, a holistic medical philosophy claimed to be the practical application of alchemy in medical treatment so that the principle of modern electro homeopathy is that disease is typically multi-organic in cause or effect and therefore requires holistic treatment that is at once both complex and natural.

A conference was held at Bologna in 2008 to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Cesare Mattei, countries like India, Pakistan,Germany, UK, and The USA marked there presence. Electrohomeopathy as a discipline is prominently practiced in India and Pakistan. We can also find number of Electrohomeopathy organizations and institutions worldwide.

Course and Its details (in India):

The duration of the course is four and half years
To get a diploma in Electrohomeopathy Medicine(D. E. H. M) the applicant have to pass class 10 or equivalent.
Bachelor’s course applicant sholud pass 10+2 with science.
Some institutions provide M. D in Electrohomeopathy.
Course are all recognized by Naturo Electro Medicos of India an organization which comes under the Ministry of Health & Welfare, Gov of India.

Fight for it’s recognition :

Union helth ministry has clarified again and again about Electrohomeopathy not being the part of medical system yet there are over 2 lakh electropathy practitioners, 150 colleges all over the country which provide electopathy to pursue.

Chikitsasansar Trust had filed a RTI application to Union health ministry to recognise the medicine because the ministry does not support it clinical practice by any person as tge concerned Bill is still under consideration of the Indian Parliament.

As the Electrohomeopathy was not recognized as amedicine it has led to widespread dishonest across the country. After a struggle Metropolitan session court Secunderabad recognized the Electrohomeopathy Practice on 16 May 2001. Those who practice Electrohomeopathy system of medicine has right to USe the world ‘Doctor’ before the name, by representing the symbol of ‘EH’.

Medical science itself is a blessing to the man kind. Electrohomeopathy is one of them. Its a powerful way as it has the power of nature in its treatments and it is combination of so many other science i.e Chinese medicine, of medical humor, of apparent Brownian’s,and homeopathy. It got its lost identity. The history of this medicine is so rich that one or the other day we will realise the vealue of this system as we reailsied about Ayurveda.
