When I was a kid I wanted to be an adult.
Now I'm an adult and I wish if I were a kid. And as many kids, I believed I get to pick what I want to be. Which is entirely true and entirely false and you only know it when you get there.
But their is no 'there' because 'there' is a horizon you are chasing.
Untill 10th I was entirely sure I'd be anything except doctor but yes, I was the one who enrolled for pcb on my school sheet.
Untill I graduated from school I was entirely sure I'm not going to be a psychologist and yes I was the one who enrolled for it in a 3rd tier private college which too, I was entirely sure I wouldn't go to.
I did the things I did because I liked doing them and all I could manage to do was to stress myself with migraine while I busied myself with anxiety.
This puts me in one of those shoe biting heels I made as I'm supposed to ramp walk my way through adulthood.
And I assure you I'm niether a designer nor a person who walks on ramp.
Instead I'm one of those who walks over the book aisle of my cousin's and picks up the book that introduces me to the world of psychology.
Blink by Malcolm Gladwell is a book on cognitive psychology talking specifically about intuition.
One of my many epiphanies.
I expound upon my many uncertainties, when I found my actual live defined by uncertainty.
The only thing certain is uncertainties and you have to deal with them.

My task was to write about experience which I did.

This was so beautiful, i really loved your line "their is no 'there' because 'there' is a horizon you are chasing" It is so true and bewildering! Thank you for writing this piece. 🌻
Your story seems to be closely related to my story. All the best for your future!
Hey Harshita! Reading this was very special to me because I relate so much to it, and it is comforting to know that I am not alone. Life is defined by uncertainties, without a doubt. This is very poetic and soul soothing.
May you experience many many more beautiful and unexpected turn of events <3
I can absolutely relate the first paragraph haha. Hope you’re doing well and safe. Wishing you all the best!!
Oh my god! The links that you provided will be so useful to all of us! I'll definitely check them out! Thankyou thankyou so much!
P.S, there's nothing wrong in being imperfect and uncertain. You can't always do everything gracefully..well..unless you're a robot 😂 So, sometimes you just have to go with the flow, and let things be. Hope for the best. And enjoy the present moment.🌺
You mentioned Blink now we have to know each other. I absolutely agree with everything that you wrote because I've experienced most of it.
Cheers to the most certain thing uncertainty 🥂
You are amazing.
God bless, 🌟🌻
Oh my dead god i love Hank Green! His speech is so elegant and perfect. I loved his course of crash course psychology and absolutely adore the way he explains stuff. And i loved the part of you picking up the psychology book from your cousin's shelf and choosing the subject. I hope it brings you joy and knowledge about yourself. Power to you!
It was motivating and uncertain a same time.
It’s funny how everything is so uncertain and even what we think is certain, is not.
Absolutely loved the way you shared your experience.
All the best ! 😊
Harshita thank you so much for including the links! Really appreciate it. Also, you've rightly said that uncertainty is the only certain thing in life and we have to deal with it. Thanks again for this post and good luck!
