I am a first year psychology student. I first heard about the word 'psychology' when I was 13. Since then I was very curious about it that what is psychology? why to study it? what does a psychologist do? etc. This curiosity motivated me to choose psychology subject in 11th and after getting to learn more about it I got more interested. I have decided to study Psychology further too and I want to pursue a career in this field. But somewhere I get scared that what if I don't turn out to be a good psychologist, what if I don't end up anywhere, will I be good enough, what if I'm not able to take care of my own mental health. But still I'll give my best each and everyday to learn and to improvise myself in this field. And at the end of the day I know that my hardwork will pay me off. Thankyou 😁

Greetings budding psychologist! I myself came to know about psychology around the age of 12-13 years. I'd research and read all the articles I could find, and I'd always act as a counselor for my friends and sometimes even strangers. And I know its tough because it's of all the questions that wrestle in your head, but I just want you to know that you've got this. Taking care of your mental health will not have a linear progress but as long as you are working through it, you'll easily be able to help others too because you'll be able to relate to the problems they go through and your empathetic nature would want to help them. All of us unsure about what the future holds for us. But if we let that doubt snatch our present and not let us live our dreams then its pointless. But if that same uncertainty makes us work harder toward a better us then that's oaky. But don't let these doubts affect you and just keep reaching towards your goal! That's the only way you will ever let your uncertainties know that you didn't let them control you!!
