I am Israela and I'm totally not from Israel😂. So I've been confused my whole life with what to take up as a career. I'm a dancer and I finished my ballet exam from Royal Academy of Dance, London. I used to want to do dance but I considered it as a very risky profession because it needs alot of hardwork for the whole body. So I somehow took up vocational arts in junior college which includes banking with arts because my parents told me to do banking but I didn't have alot of interest in it and thought of doing fashion designing (we even went to a fashion institute to find out). One day just before the month of my boards my mom was telling me about psychology and how it's an amazing field. I started researching and thought of taking that in degree college. Since then I've been really interested in this field even though I'm very scared about my future. I'm hoping to do Child psychology and help all the children who are suffering with various disorders. Psychology teaches me so many other things which I never knew existed. It teaches you about the human mind, behavior, why do people act like this.. This subject is just magical. I sometimes even try to analyze people around me especially my dad🤭. I still sometimes kind of get confused with whether to stay with psychology because I like many other things too like Media, IT, etc. But I think God's plan is for me to be a psychologist.

Heyyy!! It is totally okay to not have a definite future. Some people have planned out the coming 10 years and others live by with the flow of life and both are valid. Don’t be scared, cause if in the future you discover that’s it’s not what you like, you always have the option of going for what your heart says. Nothing is definite , there is no rule when it comes to life. So don’t let these small things scare you (: your life is a magical ride you can always choose to go to a different direction.

Heyy!! I would say it is okay to be confused sometimes, and i guess we cant entirely map out our future also. Child Psychology is an intresting field and since I have been learning about it from quite some time i would suggest you to look up for internships for special needs children institute or any health clinic that has a child psychologist. And if in case you have intrest in media also, look up for courses that offer you journalism and Psychology. I had the same course in my UG and it really helped me.

Hi, its nice to know that you are interested in dealing with children. It really is the most difficult branch of psychology because children cannot readily express what they feel and that's why their behaviours have to be examined very carefully.
I hope you succeed in the branch you have chosen and yes, we are all confused at some point in our life but ig, god does have plans. 😇

Hey, @israelapinto124 , I would like to tell you something, I am also a person who gets confused a lot, and I can understand you're state, but one thing I learnt about me being confused all the time is I explored a lot to finding the right thing and that opened my mind to a greater extent than what I am and I also learnt a lot about myself. I'm almost like you I have interests in so many fields. If you don't mind me suggesting , use that energy of confusion like an open door and explore. You also said you like IT , media n'all right, research on them , see if you can learn on a particular topic and that gives you a sense of content, look further maybe you can freelance. Also now that you are learning psychology and aspire to become a child psychologist you'll know if its right for you in the course of learning. Always have a basis of your personal research and learning , it'll give you good foundation for your further decisions. I hope you find the right things in life and feel content and satisfied with it. All the best. 🙂

Who isn't confused ? All of us are confused at some point or maybe all points of our life. Life is uncertain and that makes us uncertain... So it's okay if we are confused at some point. But again what matters is we find our path - our destination and that makes all the confusion almost invisible and only our goal visible. And you could call it god's plan or life's plan for you but this is your plan now cause you are choosing it and making the best of it!

If you are confused, I would suggest you visit a career counsellor for better guidance. It might be fruitful to you. Also, there is no harm in exploring other fields and you can pursue something else if it intrigues you. There's no harm in completing psychology and then going with another degree if you want to. Not very Conservative, but definitely practical.
Wow! That's quite a journey you've had. It's totally okay to be confused, it's just a misconception that the society has that we need to have figured out every single thing about our life and our future before we're even "adults". I hope you get some clarity soon and you're happy with whatever choice you make, in your own time.
