Does failure make you a loser?
There are so many competitions and situations where we have to compete with various other people, who have varying levels of intellect, skills and strengths. Competition is a necessary evil to bring out a person’s talents, skills and qualities. But most of the time, we do not emerge victorious after a competition. Someone else wins the competition using his skills. We then start feeling sad and low. We think that our hard work has gone down the drain. We also start to be demotivated to attend competitions in the future. It just pushes our self-confidence down the cliff.
But one must always remember that we cannot win every day. There are some days when we win and be successful, and other days when we lose, or are not so successful. The days when we do not succeed or win, teach us many important lessons. Our society is so obsessed with success and winning that, whenever someone doesn’t succeed at an activity, that person is deemed as a loser. Everyone wants the top spot. Parents want their children to get top ranks in class. Everyone makes plans on what to do after achieving success, but they do not plan on what to do after a setback. People don’t realise that there is so much more, when it comes to not succeeding in an event.
You win, if you have learned from your past failures
The fact that you tried your best itself puts you ahead of so many people who did not try at all. Accepting failures and setbacks in one’s life can make a person much stronger, physically and emotionally. A loser is not a person who did not succeed in an event; a loser is a person who did not learn anything from his past failures.
Failure is not a curse; failure is not an end. Failure is a stepping stone to success. Failure teaches us how situations are, and how stuff works, so that we can try to improve ourselves and perform better next time. Accepting failure, and the things that come with, help us to become a better person and try even harder next time. There is a proverb that rightly said,
“Fall down seven times, stand up eight” ~ Japanese Proverb
It means choosing to never give up hope and to always strive for more.
A person can rise only when he/she falls. When a situation brings you down, it is preparing to catapult you to something much greater. One cannot achieve success at all times. There will be some days when there will be setbacks, but everything will be fine. Stop obsessing over success and start obsessing over trying your best and putting in all your efforts. You do not owe your success to anyone, except yourself. Showing a 0.1 per cent improvement daily is still better than showing no improvement at all. If you show even 0.1 per cent improvement daily, then in a year, your efforts can be improved

Interesting. Well done.
True! People need to understand this more now!
Hey Creig, Your work is just wow. The topic you choose to speak on is very very important for everyone out their irrespective of their age or gender. Failures keep destroying person’s mental peace but people need to accept their failures and learn from it. We should not let any lose affect our happiness. I just loved the way you said it and put light on this very important topic.
Interesting and impressive ☺️.
You’ve chose really good topic. Failure is a part of everyone’s life. People do everything with huge expectations of winning and being best at everything . But they reality differs. The truth is we’ve a phase where we learn , grow and become best at things , and this phase is failure . So, there’s nothing to be afraid of. It passes too.
Amazing article . Really needed to read something like this ! 🙂
win or lose learning matters well said
very well said. failure is really something we can learn from, as actual failure is when you give up
As it’s always said failures are the stepping stones for that big win. But what i want to say is life is not just about winning and losing. It’s about little happinesses and random smiles.
Well written my friend. Keep going 🙂
It is very much necessary for people to know this fact and accept it but at the same time it should be handled well. The intention is really good but the way this was delivered was a bit sassy and many a times it can make the reader feel careless though I am positive that the intention is good. Social media these days is influencing people too much and don’t let that influence you. Words are powerful and should be delivered smoothly.
Nice article, winning and losing are two outcomes of any event and we need to learn from our defeats and encourage ourselves to do better
One do win if he/she accept his/her failures. Failures don’t define you as a loser but not accepting them and working towards changing them do define you as loser. Very well written. Good job.
Really nice one. Not so long. Precise and hitting the point.
Your work awesome .it motivates me to accept my shortcomings.
nice topic chosen by you .
hii Creig Luke please explain Psychology of Dssapointment.
“You are not a loser if you don’t win. You are a loser if you are so scared of losing that you stop trying.” The route to self acceptance is through accepting your failures and embracing your flaws. Amazing work mate. A really needed article in the time where winning is taken as the greatest honor for which people try to hide their flaws.
great work. Lots of strength to you.
Seriously, the only thing everyone needs to read, hear, grasp and understand deeply! Keep going!
Thank you for writing this. In this world there is a constant pressure to win because the society puts it in your head that if you don’t, you cannot have a happy future and therefore it is so important to stay sane and grounded and not care about what others say or think.
Really glad you chose to write on this topic, as the rising competition in the world has led a lot of people into pits they dont want to get up from. Failing definitely doesn’t make you a loser, its prepares you for the world and it makes you stronger. And the only way to achieve that is to have a write mindset. Thank you for this lovely article, I’m sure it will inspire many people.

Hey Creig,
This was such a simple but very motivational piece of writing. All of us do require some amount of motivation from others which can help you to push yourself for the betterment. We as individuals should always learn to accept failures and work hard to correct the past mistakes. I am sure that one day each one of us will be able to succeed if provided with enough hardwork.
Great work✌
