Hello! Jasnoor this side, sharing my story of getting interested and intrigued by Psychology. Till Grade 10th I had no idea what I wanted to do or what I wanted to become in life, the only thing I was sure about was what I did not want to do! Nd that was science and maths; these subjects were like a nightmare for me. Tho I scored 95 percent in 10th, I chose humanities (nd this decision was not liked by many who thought that humanities was for 'dull' students but luckily my parents supported me throughout!) Nd thus began my journey with this wonderful subject! I was quite fascinated with the subject and the credit for this goes to my school psychology teacher, who taught the subject in such a wonderful manner that it was almost impossible for me to not be interested in her lectures. Everything was just do fun, one thing I'd look forward to in the entire day were my psychology lectures in school. Hence began my interest in this subject and I quite enjoy it. I haven't really had much of an experience with this subject but I do plan on doing my graduation and post graduation in psychology and believe me it actually is a wonderful subject! So glad to have found my calling un psychology 🙂
Thank you for sharing your experience, it feels good to hear this from people also in the field, good luck.
I am really glad you got to experience psychology in your school years because for many like me we don't have psychology in schools and let me tell you psychology is a great subject with great career options out there. So don't hesitate to study psychology further...trust me you won't regret it😄
Hi Jasnoor. I soo get you! My parents had no problem but everyone was like "you've taken arts?" But now think back I think all of that just fades into the background because we're already so into it already.
That's absolutely wonderful! And I can relate too because I chose humanities and people didnt really approve of it, but my family did and that's all that mattered. I havent regretted my decision even once! I'm sure you'll be among the many people who are trying to break the stigma and that you'll achieve great heights in the future. All the best
