I read this article sometime last week. It is a very researched piece. However, I was wondering whether giving chances to a person who has already cheated or betrayed one's trust would be an ideal solution in such a scenario. In fact, I had mentioned it to the author of the piece as well.

Sometimes, getting more chances might actually stop the person from changing for the better. It may act as a sort of reinforcement. I will keep that thought with me for the time being and maybe reflect more on it.
