What all do we do to take care of ourselves? We breathe, eat, sleep, maybe even exercise; but the question is how many things are we doing right and doing them right everyday? Probably not even a single one of them (yes, breathing is included). We are probably doing the bear minimum to keep our bodies going and nothing more than that.
Breathing, sleeping and eating are deemed essential to our survival and rightly so; without those, our body will give up in few minutes or days. But what we don't think about is how practising self-care is essential to living! Every day that we don't give time to ourselves, thinking it is not important, we will have to face the consequences in future- psychological, emotional and biological.
I feel we are lucky to be introduced to the concept of self-care while it is not too late and should value it. Read more about this in the following article...
