Bodies and beauty standards

Upon reading, I found quite a few articles that had to do with understanding bodies and trying to understand beauty standards. The first article I came across was this one- https://buddingpsychologists.org/body-shaming-the-sad-reality-of-our-society/ which discusses about how shaming has become a market, a commercial venture that encourages a certain body type and promotes toxicity in industries such as modelling.

I was then led to an article that looked at how 'perfect' is overrated, unrealistic and honestly, unattainable. Who decides what constitutes 'perfect'? Acceptance is the way to go, even if it seems easier said than done; and as hard as it might be, it isn't impossible. The link to the article is here- https://buddingpsychologists.org/accepting-our-bodies-accepting-yourself-shouldnt-be-hard/
