Hello everyone. I would love to share my experience on this platform! Let me begin from the beginning.
Formerly, like any other young student I was confused too regarding my career. Every new day I used to come across a new career idea. Then Dear Zindagi got released when I was in my 10th grade and all my confusions flew away. I was so moved by that film. I wanted to be THAT person. The person who helped people forget their sadness. I decided to become a psychologist. "Dr. Shatakshi Garg, MPhil Clinical psycologist. " proudly written outside my cabin, that's my biggest dream, which often makes me unable to sleep! ❤️
I did research and there were two ways to achieve it - either pursue MBBS, or you may take up Humanities. Well, my school didn't offer humanities in +2 (typical Indian mentality),and I didn't want to take up science so I went for commerce.
After completing my high school, I started doing (currently) my graduation in B.A. hons. (Psychology). After this I plan to complete my MA in clinical psychology and later on, do MPhil. So the main doubt I had and many of you have that - Which is better, MBBS or MA. Well let me clear that for you, it is almost the same. My Bachelor's course is the same as MBBS one. So dont worry you can pursue either of the two.
It's really really flattering to study psychology and I feel happy to have chosen this as my career.

Your dream is amazing! But since I have already completed masters I would like to let you know that you need PhD or PsyD for doctorate. Mphil gives license to practice as a clinical psychologist. I am sure you will get doctorate. All the best!

That's a wonderful dream Shatakshi! I am not sure if MPhil will still be offered by the time you apply for Master's (new education policy!). Like someone else already mentioned, you can practice as a clinical psychologist with a Master's but you'd have to do a doctorate programme for the "Dr." title! You still have time to figure out the details but it's great that you know what you want!
