 Mental Health

mental health

In this era of the 21st century where the planet has shrunk into a “global village” we’ve literally become machines. We awaken, eat our meal (that too if time persists), attend work and follow our daily course, click exhausted and have our food and return to sleep. We hardly have time for ourselves, including for others

During this busy lifestyle we are often stressed and tired. Due to these daily hectic schedules some individuals might develop mental disorder, adjustment disorderor maybe depression. By watching us they know that we are tired which we’d like some rest and sleep. Concerned people may additionally ask us to require care of ourselves and to seem into our daily schedules and eating habits. This is often about our physiological health.

Our needs of feeling hungry, thirsty, sleepy, etc. all are associated with our physiological health. Once we mention health variety of other factors are available besides physiological health, for instance spiritual health. Likewise we even have psychological state.

Psychological state is additionally as important as our physical health but people hardly recognize it. We fail to know that what hurts outside may additionally hurt inside however. Most of the days we can’t see what’s happening on the within of the person’s mind.

This makes the entire concept even more complicated. As already told before, we will see when an individual is tired but we cannot see when an individual isn’t feeling well inside. Although most of the mental disorders have physical symptoms we fail to acknowledge them as a disorder and label it as a results of fatigue and busy lifestyle.

One more reason is folks not having the ability to ascertain the symptoms is that some people are good at hiding what they’re feeling inside. They could smile and greet everyone within the morning albeit they were scared and alone and crying the entire night.

They could be ready to bring the group members together and lead a gaggle during a project while they’re breaking inside and aren’t ready to pick themselves up. This is why this material of psychology is so vital. We hardly look after others in this world and on top of that, we are too quick in judging others.

Effects of Social Environment on Psychological State

Judgement is one among the crucial skills that one must possess to form right decisions in life. But when judgement, is employed to gauged people it’d go the incorrect way without us even realizing it. Rationality also plays a task. We’d have absolutely no idea what someone goes through so we’d like to find out to be a touch more understanding. Being kind and understanding goes an extended way in making someone smile or maybe feel better. Sometimes we are so harsh on ourselves thanks to work load that we don’t notice these small but effective things. Someone out there may need just lost employment, or lost a beloved, or had a fight with someone close thanks to which they could be during a bad mood. As is it’s rightly said

“only the wearer knows where the shoe hurts”.

Here this quote emphasizes the concept of empathy. Empathy means putting oneself in someone else’s place. People are often confused between sympathy and empathy. Sympathy means feeling pity for one’s condition. Hence, both the terms have their own significant meanings and that they are two different terms.

Effects of Social Media on Psychological State

We often find ourselves laughing at certain people for his or her actions on social media. for instance, we tease people for putting up sad stories on their statuses. We, without even thinking twice, assume that they’re doing this to urge attention.

What if someone is really really feeling bad and is in need of some help? We stick with one point of view without broadly understanding the situations and seeing the various perspectives of it. Some people even plow ahead to comment harsh stuff and use abusive language.

Some also dare to form memes. It looks like it’s a criminal offense lately to even feel weak and low sometimes. We lose tons of individuals without even having a touch of how they were browsing a phase because we were too busy laughing while they were crying for help.

Often with this fear of being judged and criticized for feeling what they’re feeling, they are doing not invite help. They think they too are going to be laughed at like others then attempt to keep it within themselves. This way, a number of them who are unable to bear the burden anymore take their own lives.

 Stigma around Psychological State

As we all know every coin has two sides. During this situation of being not well mentally, there are people that say nothing and take decisions under the pressure while on the opposite hand there are some people that understand their condition and seek help.

Once we mention sharing the burdens of life, it requires courage .Stigma refers to the shame attached to a specific topic. Taboo is additionally a related term. There are certain taboo topics in our society, like for instance, sex, menstruation, sex education, etc.

Psychological state is additionally one such topic which is usually attached to shame and stigma amongst the people of our society. When such important issues are a shameful thing to speak about openly with family or friends then the event of the society is additionally hampered.ides the economic and political situation of the country. Again, this social situation does not allow people to seek professional help once they know they have it.

Being not well mentally is conceived by the society as being insane. But actually it could mean that the person isn’t ready to adjust, or has anxiety, or another sort of disorder. We are a third world country , our society doesn’t have enough knowledge about the topic of psychology. That’s why they stick with their irrational views and stereotypes and misconceptions.

We’d like a more broader mindset as a society to understand that folks might need help which they could not be feeling good, and that’s perfectly normal. We’d like to encourage people to return out and fight the situations they’re in by creating a healthy environment for them, where they feel safe to feel what they feel.
