Does stress causes adjustment disorder??

Every body is busy in their day to day life. As technology has increased, the pressure has increased on an individual mind. An individual goes through a lot of pressure in today’s times sometimes it can be of work or sometimes it can be of personal problems. Sometimes due to work, a person develops stress and even if the work problem is not that big, the pressure of it can be big on our mental condition. Due to all this, sometimes we develops mental illness. Sometimes these mental illness causes some of the disorders and one of the disorder which has become common in today’s times is adjustment disorder.

Adjustment disorder gets develops through stress. As we know that stress are of two types: positive and negative. Positive stress is that stress which motivates us to do our work passionately but negative stress is that stress which puts pressure on an individual mind on such a level that takes a toll on mental health and causes mental illness. Having negative stress for too long can develop adjustment disorder. Adjustment disorder are caused due to stress where a person experience more stress than what is normally expected.

In adjustment disorder, our response to stressful events becomes more aggressive and sometimes we are not being able to handle a normal situation, our reaction to that situation also becomes quite double that other people cannot resist it. We get angry easily even on a small thing. Adjustment disorder causes major problems in our social / professional and personal lives.

Works problems or some family matters like fights going on in family or death of some closed people in life or may be due to breakup and many more are the reasons behind developing stress. In adjustment disorder, all the above incidents can cause to make person feel weak emotionally and can change an individual reactions to each and every thing. It slowly takes you to the path of depression. Our behaviour changes vigorously that we ends up hurting ourselves. We becomes tough on ourselves. An individual with adjustment disorder starts feeling bad about them. They take blame of everything upon them even if it is not because of them.
