Rich people tend to report happier than poor people.

Is this true? as according to my understanding from corelates between affluence and happiness, a certain amount of money is important for satisfaction (Maslow's hierarchy), after which money can not relate to the true sense of happiness.. infact, a few research articles also suggest that the individuals with money to satisfy their minimum (india vs usa) show to be happier.

please verify this statement
