7 SUMMER VACATION ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN & PARENTS

There are few challenges for children which will not only help them keep busy in summer days epically when it is too hot outside but also give them a real life experience which will help them boost confidence.

1) COOK A MEAL

Children often love cooking. It is been found that children eat better and form healthier eating habits when they start cooking or helping thier mother in cooking in early age. Children loves to bake cupcake or pancakes and decorate them with sprinkles. This is something which help the bond between the mother and child grow more strong.

2) MAKE A MOVIE

As children now a days spend more time watching videos or playing games on mobile or laptop. Lets arrange a fun activity on mobile or laptop by adding old photos of friends or family members. Sit with your child and show them how to download video editing software app and ask them to select photos and music. Also ask them to arrange photos and to create a short movie. It is one of the best activity which you and your children will enjoy doing it together and your children will simultaneously learn something new in a fun way. watch a movie

 

3) BE INTERNATIONAL

Learn a song or poem in other language. This isn’t something easy but it will keep your child engage in something new & different. It is also said that learning new or different ( foreign) language at an early age is very beneficial. Because at an early age children learn things very easily and ver quickly which is beneficial to them in later age as well.

4) DO CHARITY WORK

During this time encourage your children to donate some of their things. For example: old cloths or toys or sometimes food as well. It will help them understand the concept “TO GIVE”. It will encourage them to spend of their time with children in ashram. It will help them to understand how to care and love each other.

5) YOU ARE INCHARGE

Who doesn’t love having “YES” day in life or in family. Let your children be in charge for the entire day. For example for one day let your child decide and take up all the household chores. Let your child decide who will be doing which household work. Not only this but let them also decide the menu for the entire day.

Let them decide what should be cooked for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Not only this but even ask them which game they want to play or other activity they want to do for example dancing, singing etc. or which other activity they would love to do. This will help them taking decision in their life.

6) PLAN SOME OUTDOOR ACTIVITY

Plan some fun outdoor activities such as swimming or playing badminton or cricket or football or climbing a tree on the day when it is not too sunny outside or in the evening. All this activities are good for increasing physical stamina or strength. Climbing a tree is actually very beneficial to kids. It not  helps in increasing physical stamina but it also build creative thinking.

7) SHOPPING

While creating a list for grocery make your child sit with you and explain them how to make a list. Next time ask your child to make a list and guide them while making a list. Then head to the market to get fruits and vegetables. Then later head towards supermarket to buy other stuffs such as some dairy products (butter, cheese or paneer) or cookies etc. Let your child decide what they want to buy & help them if they need. This will be fun and more exciting way of shopping for children.
